Over the Years
Queen Street Dental Centre in Leslieville
Our office has been providing dental care in the Leslieville area since 1986. In 1996, Dr. James Sugarman and Dr. Vickie Sugarman assumed ownership of the practice at 918 Queen Street East and named it Queen Street Dental Centre.
In September 2010, we opened up a brand new facility at 930 Queen Street East in the same block, just a few doors down from our former location and with nearly twice the space. In 2022 we expanded to the building next door, again doubling our space.
After near 30 years, our practice has grown and we have made many improvements to the office, from digital xrays, same-day crown appointments, dental implants, TV at chairside, fully electronic paperless charting, and conscious sedation. (this text may need updating for more recent tech)
QSDC Evolution
In keeping with our ongoing dedication to the quality of our patients' care and experience at our office, we have continued to invest in technology and built our new office with a fresh, contemporary, and welcoming look and feel.
Many patients ask how Dr. James and Dr. Vickie are related. The two dentists met during their dental training at University of Toronto Faculty of Dentistry, and were married in 1990, shortly before opening their practice together. Dr. James and Dr. Vickie are the proud parents of two grown children and each of them, now remarried, also has a child with their new spouse. They have remained business partners as well as good friends.
